A report by Jennifer Roth trainee KLM Facility Services-Rayon East
on the KLM charity dinner.
During dinner, pictures of Flowgi project of the previous year were
shown on a big screen. A fun-day was organised for the orphans with
the collected money of the KLM relation afternoon of the previous year.
A smile appeared on my face when I saw the pictures of laughing,
playing children on the screen. It’s great to see how enthusiastic
Flowgi volunteers worked with the orphan children.

Deze werden verzorgd en na 4 maanden als volwassen varkens verkocht,
dit met een aanzienlijke winst

The staff and children from 3orphanages came together to have fun.
Together enjoying a special day organized by Flowgi ; picnic, food and dance.
They have something others don’t have, although they are poor, together they
fight for a better life they have: happiness, love, brotherhood, together they
are strong. The key to continue their life.

When the day of the party came, everything surprised me. I felt very happy
and satisfied when I saw the children consuming the food. I saw them having
high appetite to eat. There were also kids coming to me to thank me for the
food, it is really delicious

more beautiful than to spend some days of your honeymoon with helping people
in need. To share your own happiness with others? It seems to us a very good
idea not only talk but also actually do something for somebody else
in the most practical way.

A LETTER (report) FROM MARDISIWI 2003
Dear Mr. Flokstra,
Thank you very much for your email, it was very nice to hear from you.
We are so happy and grateful with your plans for Mardi Siwi Orphanage which
was just being realised at the beginning of 2003.
We are always fine here, and for their own future, the children are still going to
school and are very excited to receive the donation from all the sponsors from
the Netherlands through you.
The children are sleeping better now that they have nice bedding from you,
and many are finding out the benefits of their library now that it is better stocked,
none of which is not possible without your help.
The children are hoping for your continued support for their library and in particular,
maybe you can help with books
about the Netherlands. They are curious to know what it is like living in the
Netherlands, and would like to learn more about things like historical building,
football clubs, etc. and anything else interesting that you can think of.
We also would like to let you know that the children go to school on foot, and
they will really appreciate it if there will be a sponsor from the Netherlands that
can help with some bicycles so that they can use it for going to school.
We also want to let you know about the development of the building works :

. Building works for office, kitchen and dining room has stopped, while waiting
for the continuing help from you,

. The building of the sceptic tank is almost finished, just have to finish up the
cover,

. The gas cookers have not been used yet since we haven’t got the gas cylinder.
And we are waiting for further instruction and help from you to continue with the
works.
We are also sending you an email from one of the children named Risnawati.

given and done for us, God bless you.
